What is CV CV?
Curriculum vitae is a document that provides the reader with a look at your professional and educational history. You can consider a CV as a marketing document, as its purpose is to market your skills and experience to a potential employer for the purpose of your recruitment. Because every job opportunity is different, the CV you use for each job should be slightly different. Once you create your CV and fill out all the major sections, you’ll make small changes in order to tailor it to specific job opportunities.
What do you write in a CV?
The components of a CV differ slightly from one person to another. However there are some key elements that everyone should include. At a minimum, your CV should include your contact information, work experience, and education. Additional sections can be added such as your guest summary, your skills, volunteering, awards you have won, or even your hobbies if they are relevant to the job you are applying for.
